THE COMPLETE STORY

Expanded Historical Profile

Tiffany Lopes was an outstanding three-sport athlete at Old Rochester Regional, earning 12 varsity letters in soccer, basketball, and track and field. As a senior, she served as co-captain in all three sports during one of the most successful years in Lady Bulldog history.

Lopes helped the soccer team finish 23–1 and advance deep into the state tournament. The basketball team captured ORR’s first girls’ state championship, while the track and field team won the South Coast Conference title and Lopes qualified for the Loucks Games. During her basketball career, she accumulated 820 points and 581 rebounds.

After graduating from ORR in 1998, Lopes attended Salem State College, earning a bachelor’s degree in psychology and playing basketball throughout her four years. She later earned a master’s degree in clinical psychology from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.

Her senior-year contribution connects three inducted team stories: the 1997 girls’ soccer team, the 1997–98 girls’ basketball team and the 1998 girls’ track and field team. Lopes’s own induction record identifies her as co-captain in all three sports that year, linking her individual leadership with those teams’ achievements.

SOURCES & HISTORICAL NOTES

Documenting the record

October 16, 2026: plaque biography reconciled directly against the existing photograph of the physical 2018 plaque. Transcription differences were corrected to match the printed inscription. Printed errors and induction-era claims remain part of the plaque record; this is not independent verification of every historical claim. No photographs were added or changed.

Removed a period absent from the physical inscription.

Plaque biography transcribed from official 2018 manufacturer artwork. Punctuation was normalized only where the source text ran together; the official plaque wording remains preserved. The approved Class of 1998 yearbook portrait was standardized to the Jefferson presentation standard, with the original historical source preserved.

October 2, 2026: physical plaque photograph IMG_1907.HEIC from the inductee's Drive folder visually matched by name and 2018 induction label and attached as the plaque reference. Original retained in Drive. Format conversion only; no crop, retouch or generated detail. Approved primary portrait and earlier biography wording retained. Word-for-word physical-plaque reconciliation remains pending.

The Hall of Fame archive also preserves the complete 2018 display (IMG_1908.HEIC), pairing the historical photograph and induction plaque. That original display is included in the profile gallery.

October 14, 2026: text-only editorial review against the existing Hall biography and source notes. Connects the three-sport senior captaincy with existing inducted team records. This review does not certify an exact physical-plaque match or current record status.
