Hall of Fame Plaque Biography

Tiffany Jawor is one of the best athletes to come out of ORR’s accomplished track and field program. She graduated in 1993, amassing local, state, and national accolades for her record breaking discus and shot put throws. In four years of winter and spring track, she went undefeated in conference meets. She earned Standard Times All Star recognition eight seasons and Boston Globe All Star in 1991 and 1993. She broke the conference record in the shot put with a throw of 38’3” and the Class D Massachusetts state record in the discus with a throw of 122’ 8”. Tiffany anchored a state record breaking discus relay team her senior year. Her athletic prowess is perhaps best illustrated, though, by highlighting her success on the national stage. She is the only ORR female athlete to be crowned champion at the Loucks Games. She won this national meet not just once, but three times consecutively (discus in 1991, 1992 and 1993), putting her in exceedingly rare company. She placed in the shot put all three years, as well.

THE COMPLETE STORY

Expanded Historical Profile

Tiffany Jawor established herself as one of the finest throwing-event athletes in Old Rochester Regional track and field history. Across four years of winter and spring track, she went undefeated in conference competition and earned Standard-Times All-Star recognition in all eight seasons.

Jawor received Boston Globe All-Star honors in 1991 and 1993. She set a conference shot put record of 38 feet, 3 inches and a Massachusetts Class D discus record of 122 feet, 8 inches. As a senior, she also anchored an ORR discus relay team that established a state record.

Jawor achieved exceptional success at the Loucks Games, winning the discus championship in three consecutive years—1991, 1992, and 1993—and placing in the shot put during all three meets. Her 2017 Hall of Fame record identifies her as ORR’s only female Loucks Games champion at that time, with three consecutive discus titles.

SOURCES & HISTORICAL NOTES

Documenting the record

October 16, 2026: plaque biography reconciled directly against the existing photograph of the physical 2017 plaque. The inscription matches. Printed errors and induction-era claims remain part of the plaque record; this is not independent verification of every historical claim. No photographs were added or changed.

Plaque biography transcribed from official 2017 manufacturer artwork. The ceremony chapter spells the surname “Jawar”; it has been matched to verified inductee Tiffany Jawor. The approved Class of 1993 yearbook portrait was standardized to the Jefferson presentation standard, with the original historical source preserved.

October 2, 2026: physical plaque photograph IMG_1880.HEIC from the inductee's Drive folder visually matched by name and 2017 induction label and attached as the plaque reference. Original retained in Drive. Format conversion only; no crop, retouch or generated detail. Approved primary portrait and earlier biography wording retained. Word-for-word physical-plaque reconciliation remains pending.

The Hall of Fame archive also preserves the complete 2017 display (IMG_1880.HEIC), pairing the historical photograph and induction plaque. That original display is included in the profile gallery.

October 14, 2026: text-only editorial review against the existing Hall biography and source notes. Dates the only-champion distinction and avoids inferring first-achievement chronology. This review does not certify an exact physical-plaque match or current record status.
