Cayla Clancy was a dominant three sport athlete, earning 11 varsity letters in soccer, basketball and tennis. In soccer, she was a two time Standard Times All Star. In basketball, she set the school record for career points, is the only female player to score over 1,000 career points, and was selected to the Standard Times Super Team three times. On the tennis court, Cayla was the top-ranked player in the area for four years with a career record of 68-4, earning all state honors in 2004 and 2005. At one point, she had a win streak of 62 straight sets. The Standard Times named her Tennis Player of the Year all four years. Captain of her three teams and a Wendy’s High School Heisman state finalist for excellence in academics, athletics and community service, Cayla was also recognized as the local High School Athlete of the Year in 2004-2005.

SOURCES & HISTORICAL NOTES
October 16, 2026: plaque biography reconciled directly against the existing photograph of the physical 2016 plaque. The inscription matches. Printed errors and induction-era claims remain part of the plaque record; this is not independent verification of every historical claim. No photographs were added or changed.
Plaque biography transcribed from official 2016 manufacturer artwork. The ceremony recording identifies her as Cayla Clancy Carbone; the Hall of Fame profile retains the induction name Cayla Clancy. The approved Class of 2005 yearbook portrait was standardized to the Jefferson presentation standard, with the original historical source preserved.
The Hall of Fame archive also preserves the complete 2016 display (IMG_1865.JPEG), pairing the historical photograph and induction plaque. That original display is included in the profile gallery.
October 14, 2026: text-only editorial review against the existing Hall biography and source notes. Removes unsupported first-ever claim and dates scoring distinction to the 2016 record. This review does not certify an exact physical-plaque match or current record status.
Follow-up: Exact basketball career total and scoring-record chronology need a contemporaneous ledger; the plaque’s only-female-over-1,000 wording conflicts with other Hall records.
