The 1993 season stands as one of the finest in the history of Old Rochester Regional football, when Coach Craig Sherman and the ORR Bulldogs finished the season as undefeated Division 4 EMass Super Bowl champions. The Bulldogs opened the season with a convincing 28-0 shutout over Bourne, crushed Thanksgiving Day rival Apponequet 24-6, and topped off a remarkable season with a 21-7 victory over East Bridgewater in the Super Bowl. The National Sports News Service ranked Old Rochester the 29th best team in all of New England that year, a season in which seven ORR players were named South Coast Conference All Stars. This Bulldog team followed Coach Sherman’s advice to “Respect all and fear none” all the way to a Super Bowl championship.
